What can be included in your jewellery?

What can be included in your jewellery?

What can be included in your jewellery?

One of the most common questions we’re asked is what can actually be included inside your jewellery.

The answer is, more than you might expect.

Each piece is completely personal, and we’re able to work with a wide range of inclusions to create something meaningful and unique to you.

Breastmilk

Breastmilk is one of the most popular inclusions we work with.

Once preserved, it forms a soft, natural stone that can be kept simple or enhanced with subtle finishes such as pearl shimmer or gentle colour tones.

Ashes

Ashes can be carefully set within your piece, either as a visible feature or blended more subtly into the design.

In glass, they can create a beautiful, light-catching effect.

In resin, they can be softened into the stone for a more understated finish.

Hair or fur

Locks of hair or fur can be included, either as a feature within the stone or blended gently into the design.

Darker hair tends to be more visible, while lighter tones create a softer, more subtle look.

Umbilical cord

We can carefully dry and preserve umbilical cord before incorporating it into your jewellery.

For smaller stones, we usually recommend keeping this more minimal to ensure the final piece remains clean and well-balanced.

More personal inclusions

We’re also able to work with more intimate and deeply personal inclusions, including:

  • Embryo-related materials
  • Blood
  • Semen

These are handled with the same level of care and discretion as all other inclusions. Each is carefully prepared and preserved before being incorporated into your jewellery.

For these types of inclusions, we often recommend a simpler design. This helps ensure the finished piece remains clean, balanced, and wearable, while still holding its full meaning.

If you’re considering something more personal, you don’t need to have all the answers before ordering. We’re always here to guide you through what’s possible and what will work best for your piece.

Other inclusions

We can also work with a variety of other meaningful materials, including:

  • Baby teeth
  • Fabric (such as clothing or blankets)
  • Flowers
  • Pregnancy test caps
  • Sand/Soil
  • Animal skin shed

If you have something meaningful in mind, we’re always happy to advise on whether it can be used.

How much do you need to send?

Only a small amount is required:

Around a teaspoon of ashes

Approximately 5ml of breastmilk

A small amount of hair (around a toothpick width)

Once your order is placed, we’ll send everything you need, including secure packaging and a prepaid return label (UK orders).

A note on materials

We offer both glass and resin jewellery, however not all inclusions are suitable for both.

Glass is only used for:

 • Ashes

• Breastmilk

• Embryo-related inclusions

These materials can safely withstand the high temperatures required during the glass-making process, allowing us to create our signature diamond-cut glass stones.

All other inclusions, such as hair, fabric, or more delicate materials, are set in resin instead.

If you’re unsure which material is right for your piece, we’re always happy to guide you.

Our advice

If you’re planning to include multiple elements, it’s often best to keep the main stone simple.

Too many inclusions in a small space can reduce clarity and make details harder to see. A more minimal approach usually creates the most beautiful and timeless result.

If you’re unsure

You don’t need to have everything decided before ordering.

We’re always here to help guide you, whether that’s choosing inclusions, finishes, or the overall design.
